SSL developed and host the DATEX-OTAP system, which provides real-time information on the English motorway network to France.

It also transforms the French traffic information into OTAP format for provision to England and other European countries, via the Internet.

This was developed as a trial system to prove the cross-border exchange of information, and has proved successful. It is now also being used by Belgium and the Netherlands to obtain French traffic data, and is considered an integral part of Europe's cross-border traffic communications.
