Version 3.00, expands on the existing range of features adding the following enhancements:

• IP mode now supports the Extended Multi-Message (Complete), Extended Test Results and Unsolicited Status Reply messages
• Unsolicited Status Replies may be manually controlled via the Sign Status Edit window in IP mode
• Intelligent Indicator (EMI94xx) support is now available
• MS3 and MS4 messge signs now also support the Intelligent Indicator signal type

NOTE: Device Simulator for Windows currently does not directly support IP communications, and the NMCS2IP application is required to support IP communication.

The Windows version of Device Simulator provides a Windows based implementation of the original Device Simulator with a vast number of new features and usability enhancements. The current version can simulate NMCS2 devices on up to four communication links.

Matrix Indicators, Message Signs, MS3 dual addressing, Variable Message Signs, Ambient Light Monitors, Fog Detectors and Traffic Data Collectors are all supported over RS-232, RS-485, V.26 and Packet interfaces.

The Device Simulation program WinDevsim currently does not support IP communications. This application (NMCS2IP) is provided as a temporary solution, to convert between NMCS2 and the IP/TCP protocol, defined in MCE1126 - NMCS2 Internet Interface sepcification, allowing IP systems and devices to communicate with Windevsim over RS232.
