In addition to the standard MIDAS LCC operational requirements version 1.00 of the LCC firmware provides the following facilities:

  • Support for current site configurations:
    The next generation of MIDAS LCC has been implemented to offer seamless transition of existing sites without the need for site data modifications or any additional components.
  • IP Engineers Terminal:
    Engineer’s Terminal is provided through the front panel LAN interface.
  • User Interface Support:
    The LCC is designed to allow seamless connection to a rack mounted KVM with a simple user interface displaying an advanced range of statistics, event and fault logs, fully decoded message transactions, engineer’s functions (for modifying operational parameters) and performance graphs.
  • USB Pen Support:
    Both the operating system and firmware can be upgraded automatically using a USB pen supplied with each MIDAS LCC unit.  The MIDAS LCC auto-detects the USB Pen on reset and performs system maintenance using data from the drive.
