Pro-Tester
Currently under development, the Pro-Tester will be designed and produced within SSL, this hand held device quickly and concisely tests Lightning Protection Units combining convenience with durability.
Pro-Tester – Hand held lightning protection circuit tester.

Breakdown voltage measure
The Pro-Tester provides comprehensive testing of the health of all semiconductor diodes and tranzorbs in lightning protection circuits. (Does not measure gas discharge devices). The Pro-Tester measures clamp voltages of semiconductors and tranzorbs with breakdown voltages up to 120V.
Transient peak measure
Transient peak measure provides on the spot diagnostics for detecting transients and spurious voltages that are sometimes present on RS485 communications lines.
The Pro-Tester will measure a peak voltage to an accuracy of 1V ±10%.The Pro-Tester captures peak voltages up to 199.9V for signals and pulses as low as 100us.
Polarity of transients measured can be determined and if they are ac or dc, provided the Pro-Tester is connected to the communications line in the correct polarity with respect to the signal.
