The MSN of a reply message should be the MSN of the command invoking the response or 0x00 for an unsolicited reply. Future releases of MOTE will employ correct usage of the MSN. - Pentium HT deadlocking Users that experience deadlocks or hungapp errors when using the MOTE with a P4 HT processor should launch the software using the p4HtFix.exe. This utility can be found on the CD in the utils directory or can be downloaded from the SSL website. - HD717 driver crash HD717 driver crashes on entering hibernate and standby mode. Please ensure that both are disabled when using the MOTE. - Manual updates The comprehensive manual is still under review and currently does not contain up to date usage instructions. Please refer to the quick start guide and check on-line for software and documentation updates. FUTURE CHANGES =============================================== - Instation-LCC mode - LCC upstream mode MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & INSTALLATION =============================================== Minimum Specification: - IBM Compatible PC. - Pentium 1000MHz or equivalent - 128 MB RAM - MS Windows 2000, or later versions of Windows. - 50MB free disk space. - CD-ROM drive - At least 1 RS232 COM port - At least 1 standard PCMCIA slot - 1024x768 resolution Recommended Specification: - Pentium 1200Mhz or equivalent - 256 MB RAM - Windows XP - At least 1 standard RS232 COM port - 1280x1024 resolution The MOTE installation is designed to upgrade any previous version of the software after and including version 2.00. Earlier versions should be removed manually by deleting the files. LICENSE PROTECTION =============================================== MOTE 4.00 will need to be activated the first time it is started. Any future updates to version 4.00 will not require re-activation. DOCUMENTATION =============================================== The MOTE will by default install both a reference manual and a quick start guide. Both can be accessed from the HELP menu. DATA FILES =============================================== The following example files are supplied with the current MOTE release. example.mot - example configuration file InitTprLink.scr - example script file InitLccLink.scr - example script file example.mdb - example MIDAS database file example.mtr - example MOTE trace file Please refer to the reference manual for instruction on how to use the data files.
