SSL has recently exhibited at Traffex 2007. We had an excellent show, demonstrating several ranges of equipment with a major focus on CCTV.

The show marked the public unveiling of the Second Generation CCTV TVSS outstation units, built for the Highways Agency’s CCTV for RCCs contract. These camera systems comprise a camera and Pan Tilt Unit for mounting at the top of a camera pole, and a rack unit for mounting in the 600 cabinet. Together they provide full CCTV capability back to the traffic officers in the RCC.

Also on display were the RCC control desk software which provides full operator monitoring and control of the TVSS cameras, and the Video Client and HANET which use the VIH and the Internet respectively to provide CCTV dissemination and a degree of control to interested third parties.

SSL was also pleased to show the AMI which is now a mature product for SSL, having been in service for some time on the M42 controlled motorway. As a product still selling in significant numbers, the AMI remains in high volume production at SSL, and will shortly be joined by MS4, MSI, and AMI in Contract 1/179 to expand SSL’s range of electronic signs.

Finally SSL demonstrated the National Faults DataBase (NFDB) which has been developed for the Highways Agency to allow web access to a single repository of systems information for road signing and control equipment. Accessible from anywhere in the country, the NFDB requires no more than a web-enabled computer.

We were pleased to see so many of our old friends at the show and also to meet new ones and hope to see you again on our stand at Traffex 2009.

SSL is pleased to annnounce that we will be exhibiting at Traffex 2007. View the Traffex 2007 Website.

We will be showing a selection of our systems and capabilities and will be pleased to talk with existing customers and also to give new customers the opportunity to see the range of SSL's capabilities.

This will be our sixth time at the show and continues our trend of successively bigger stands and wider ranges of equipment on display.

The show runs between 17 and 19 April 2007 at the NEC. Please come and see us on stand C111 opposite the Showcase Theatre.

If you have a particular point to discuss please email us beforehand at traffex@simulation-systems.co.uk so we may ensure that the most appropriate staff are on hand when you visit.
